Roadshows.
The shows are still providing a good source of income, thanks to all who help out on these occasions, John for taking the bookings and organising which of the projectionists is available and who had the equipment last etc. We now have four projectionists, Chris Wheatley, John Sawyer, Mike Morris and Arthur Barry. A big thank you to all of them for giving their time on these occasions.
Film of the Year Awards 2012.
The committee has decided to ask Cheltenham Videomakers to be the Judges for this event.
Forthcoming Events
50th Anniversary
The subject is a £50 note being lost and what happens to it – the winning film will receive £50 for their club funds. All entries to be submitted by 15 June 2012.
Entries will be judged by our members.

Review of the last three months
Mon 7 November : Film of the Year Awards
Graham Aubrey, Paul Chater and Sarah Chater from Worcester Club were our Judges and the winner was “Clouds” by Annie Blick. The Sound Trophy was won by John Sawyer with “The Way of St. James”.

Thirteen members attended the A.G.M. Mike has decided to step down as Chairman, but has agreed to take the role of Treasurer following the death of John Gardiner,
Clare Robinson has agreed to be our Chairman, John Sawyer remains as Vice Chairman, John Greene remains as Secretary with Val Sawyer, Chris Wheatley, Arthur Barry and Helen Barry as committee members.

‘Making your Mark’ and ‘Out of the Hat’
This was our first meeting of 2012 and was well attended. Thanks to excellent presentation by John Sawyer; this practical evening was most enjoyable creating some lively discussions about scoring. Many thanks John. Notes on this evening will be distributed to all members.
Also at this meeting. Members were invited to pull a subject ‘Out of the Hat’ and make a 10 – 15 minutes film to be shown and judged on 17th September.
As this is the first Newsletter of 2012 I would like to wish you all a belated Happy New Year.
Many things have changed since 1962, particularly in the realms of technology and communication.
Who would have thought back then that my ramblings could be viewed by a worldwide
audience of millions or that film making would become an all-
And yet, in many respects the essential crafts of film making remain unchanged -
